This is a
class of 21 students. For most of them it is their second year of being in
the same class, so this students are behind their class and the ordinary pace
of the learning is not acceptable for them.

in practice how to describe places, people, their personal characteristic and
appearance.

Teacher
uses specific cards for the better evaluation of the students, which are
filled with students themselves.

The main
technical resource we need is a Power Point Presenter in a class, piece of
paper, pen, some handouts…

Process of
the lesson
|
A Introduction: the opening of the lesson.
Teacher gives the students the sample of an essay, how they had to write
about their favorite character. Before, they had talked about several films
and all of them chose the movie and character they would write about. The
choice of films was limited for the students for whom it’s the second year of
being in the same class as their level is lower in English. (5-7 min.)
B Than students present their work. This is an
individual presentation. Some of them use Power Point Presenter, others a
format papers decorated with pictures or their own drawings.
As for
other students, who couldn’t do the presentation on their own teacher uses a
different kind of work. She divides them into some groups of 2-3 and gives
handouts, with some easy exercises related with the topic. One student makes
a brief presentation of the exercises. (25-30 min)
C Finally, students give feedback to each other. Each of them have a card where they write what
they liked about the presentation of their mates, and recommendations as
well, what needs an improvement. Teacher picks up the cards and reads them at
home in order to take into consideration students recommendations. At the end
teacher gives her evaluation. Tells them what will they have to practice for
the next lesson. (5-8 min)
